"BroadWindow" by Diego Sologuren and Sébastien Tripod is an architectural intervention aiming to encourage a porous ecological interdependence between architecture and its environment, through the installation of an experimental liminal ecosystem. A parallel proposal from this project work, exploring the same intentions within another architecture, is also being installed in Lausanne, Switzerland.

BroadWindow is part of the series Hacia una ecología del habitar and consists of a metal structure that traverses one of the circular windows located above the Lantegia 1. Laboratory of Ideas entrance, overlooking Iparraguirre street.
It sparks a research process that begins with the planting of a local species, the blackberry, and continues with a series of actions aimed at promoting a framework of dialogue, debate and exchange with different audiences.
In parallel and following the same logic, this project is also being carried out in Lausanne (Switzerland) under the title Strato-Logique and arranged vertically along a skylight.
DIEGO SOLOGUREN studied Architecture at the ETSA in San Sebastián and later at Sint-Lukas Brussels University (KU-Leuven), where he participated in a Master in Urban Studies. Since his graduation, with a project from the School of Performing Arts next to Hamlet Castle in Denmark, he has developed his career between Belgium, France, Germany, Spain and Africa. In 2014 he joined Francis Kéré's office and had the opportunity to get in touch with a reality that influenced his way of conceiving architecture and design: honesty, economy of resources and formal simplicity. In 2017, he participated in the exhibition of the first Biennial of Architecture of the Basque Country as a finalist for the Ganchegui Prize for emerging Basque architects. In 2020, he was one of the creative winners of the Future Architecture Platform with his project Manifesto for Unexpected Architectures and agrees to carry out his own projects for institutions that promote the culture of architecture in Europe such as the Lisbon Triennial, the Tbilisi Architecture Biennale or the TAW of Tirana. Based in Switzerland, he has developed his own experimental praxis that investigates the conceptual limits of architecture with other disciplines.
SÉBASTIEN TRIPOD (1987) graduated from the Joint Master of Architecture (2015) by the HES of Western Switzerland and the Universities of Bern, after having completed a year of exchange with Luca School of Art Ghent (KU-Leuven) in Belgium. He is co-founder of Constructlab Switzerland and Berlin, local associations of a network of transdisciplinary and collaborative professionals who initiate transformations of environments through a dialogue between design, construction, coexistence and common goods. Based in Switzerland, he develops an independent architect activity focused on issues such as empowerment, self-construction and cooperation. He is regularly a guest lecturer at ESA, the École Spéciale d'Architecture de Paris, the Joint Master of Architecture, the School of Engineers and Architects of Freiburg, as well as at the HETS de Sierre.
