During these months Julia Martos is working on the "Un vestido claro clarísimo" research project as an artist-in-residence as part of Babestu. Creation Support Programme at Azkuna Zentroa.
The starting point of this project, positioned at the intersection between contemporary documentary filmmaking, artist moving image, and work with personal archives, is the analysis of letters, diaries and other documents belonging to “someone in my family circle who I barely got to know, that is, my maternal grandmother, Carmen Quirós” as explained by the artist. An archive “revolving around an obsession with ageing and passage of time, shown via a singular eccentricity, i.e. her persistent fixation on the physical appearance of the women around her.”
