"Notes on Working from Home" is an audiovisual programme and installation by artist film makers Laida Lertxundi and Ren Ebel, that reflects on domestic life as a fundamental subject and source for artistic practice.

The installation consists of selected moving-image and sound works shown in a repeating program, and an arrangement of texts and images by various artists and writers who have used the unseen and unextraordinary labors of daily life as an integral part of their work.
On the final day of the exhibition, we will host a screening of Notes on Working from Home, a presentation of raw, unedited footage from the in-progress film, whose rhythm and sequence will be left to chance and circumstance.
LAIDA LERTXUNDI (Bilbao, 1981) is an artist and filmmaker who lives and works between Los Angeles and the Basque Country. Combining conceptual rigor with sensual pleasure, her films establish parallels between the earth and the body as centers of pleasure and experience. Her work has been exhibited at the Whitney Biennial, NY, Hammer Museum, LIAF La Biennale de Lyon, Frieze Projects, New York, and in museums and galleries such as MoMa, NY; Tate Modern and Whitechapel Gallery, London; Angela Mewes, Berlin; Joan, Los Angeles; Human Resources, Los Angeles; MAK Schindler House ICA Museo de Arte Moderno de Medellín, Colombia; CCCB PS1 MoMA Museum of Contemporary Photography, Chicago; Baltimore Museum of Art; Kunstverein, Hamburg; and the Bienal de La Habana, among others. Her work is distributed by LUX in London and is part of the collection of the Museo Centro de Arte Reina Sofía. In 2020 she received the Gure Artea award for Basque art.
REN EBEL is an artist from Los Angeles, California. He works in a range of media including video, sound, text and drawing.
