AILANTO, an ornamental tree known as the "tree of the sky," is the brand created by the Bilbao brothers Iñaki and Aitor Muñoz, recognized for their unique prints and designs, craft techniques and use of noble materials.
The universe of AILANTO is famous for its combinations of colours, geometric shapes, botanical landscapes, references to avant-garde artistic movements, and exclusive prints.
The collaboration between AZ and AILANTO focuses on the creation of an exclusive print inspired by the Bilbao Centre for Society and Contemporary Culture with a focus on landscape. Their creative process begins with the design of the prints, which are developed using various pictorial techniques such as collage, tempera, watercolor and oil. From here, the works of the collection are composed, and the prints will start drawing out their own volumes with the aid of modeling techniques.
