Maria Ptqk holds a PhD in Artistic Research and Extraordinary Doctorate Award (UPV-EHU).
She’s been working in the cultural sector since 2000, on the intersections between art, techno-science and feminism. She also curates, co-ordinates projects and provides advice. She has worked among others with: Medialab Prado (Madrid), Azkuna Zentroa – Alhóndiga Bilbao, Fundación Daniel y Nina Carasso, CCCB – Barcelona Contemporary Culture Centre, Jeu de Paume Visual Arts Centre (París), La Gaité Lyrique (París), Gender Art Net (European Cultural Foundation), and Donostia-San Sebastián 2016. European Culture Capital. She has also been a member of the Basque Culture Council (2009-2012) and is part of the advisory group for Consonni art producer and publisher. She has curated the exhibition Science friction. Life among companion species at the CCCB and Azkuna Zentroa.
