Julia Martos is a visual artist and programmer. In her recent audio-visual works she has used her autobiography and personal history as an input channel of more extensive social realities.
Her research project “Un vestido claro clarísimo” is placed on the intersection between contemporary documentary filmmaking, artist moving image and the work with personal archive. The starting point is the analysis of an archive of letters, diaries and other documents belonging to the artist's grandmother, which
will function as a space for debate from which to question both their narratological potential and their capacity to deconstruct the naturalised gender representations of the time.
