TRABAJOS FORZADOS

This is a stage project that questions the relationship between language and bodies, where the participation of the Barcelona, Liège and Bilbao deaf communities is considered as an enriching artistic and creative experience.

In the Bilbao case, the work group comprises five people who will develop a process in three time frames. The first one will take place in the first week of June. It will revolve around the dynamics of theatre, movement, visual arts or music, among others, and will be aimed at researching the master lines of this proposal. Additionally, moments of dialogue and contemplation in relation to the questions posed by “Trabajos forzados” will be set up.

The second one will take place during the second week of October. As the project will already be in its creation process, dynamics and exercises will be put forward to form part of the final device of the piece. A sample of the work carried out in both workshops will be open to the public.

The third one will take place in May 2025, coinciding with the public presentation of “Trabajos forzados” at Azkuna Zentroa. It will be a two day workshop of shared practices where the participants of the workshops in Bilbao will work together with the performers of Barcelona’s final project.

INCENDIS

In “Incendis”, Ça Marche explores the concept of fire from a practical standpoint as an experience shared by humanity. “In the context of a global environmental crisis in which our bodies are increasingly affected by climatic change, this project aims to explore how we can maintain hope and live collaboratively after the crisis of the great discourses of today,” Ça Marche explains.

In this research project, Ça Marche address historical, emotional, documentary and artistic aspects of fire and fires. They also document the experiences of people from different regions who have had direct and indirect experiences with fire.

As part of the creative process they will connect with people interested in fire, as well as experts and professionals in firefighting, landscaping, lighting, and visual arts. Their contributions will help to gain a deeper understanding of this phenomenon.

As the end result of this technical residency, which takes place in an open-air space in Bilbao, they will create a theatrical installation representing a completely fictitious large fire in a wooded or semi-green environment.
